An automatic backwash filter is a self-cleaning filtration system designed to ensure continuous operation. When impurities accumulate and the inlet–outlet pressure differential reaches the preset value, or after the set time interval, the control system automatically initiates the cleaning process.

Low energy consumption – Backwash water consumption is only about 0.08%–1% of the filtered water.

Selection Considerations

Filtration accuracy vs. pressure drop
The higher the filtration precision, the greater the pressure drop. It is recommended to allow sufficient pressure margin.
Backwash water source
Typically uses the system’s own medium for backwash, no external water source required.
Control cabinet protection rating
For marine applications, select control cabinets with IP65 or above.
Discharge outlet position and diameter
Ensure smooth discharge to prevent secondary blockage caused by impurities.
