Automatic Self-Cleaning Filter Made by JX Filtration

Automatic self-cleaning filters are widely used equipment in the water treatment industry. They directly intercept impurities in water using filter screens, remove suspended solids, particulate matter, reduce turbidity, purify water quality, and reduce the generation of system dirt, algae, rust, etc., to purify water quality and protect the normal operation of other equipment in the system. Water enters the automatic self-cleaning filter body through the inlet. Due to intelligent design, the system can automatically identify the degree of impurity deposition and signal the automatic full drainage through the drainage valve.

Working Principle of Automatic Self-Cleaning Filter

The automatic self-cleaning filter performs automatic cleaning based on the pressure difference inside and outside the filter screen. The specific working principle is as follows: water enters the filter through the inlet, first passes through the coarse filter cartridge assembly to filter out larger particle impurities, then reaches the fine filter screen, removes fine particle impurities through the fine filter screen, and clean water is discharged through the outlet.

During the filtration process, impurities gradually accumulate on the inner layer of the fine filter screen, creating a pressure difference between its inner and outer sides. When this pressure difference reaches a preset value, the automatic cleaning process begins: the drainage valve opens, and the hydraulic motor chamber and hydraulic cylinder of the main pipe assembly release pressure and discharge water; the pressure inside the hydraulic motor chamber and the dirt suction pipe drops significantly.

Due to the negative pressure, dirt on the inner wall of the fine filter screen is sucked through the nozzle, flows into the hydraulic motor chamber through the hydraulic motor, and is discharged through the drainage valve, forming a suction process. As the water flows through the hydraulic motor, it drives the dirt suction pipe to rotate, and the piston of the hydraulic cylinder drives the dirt suction pipe to move axially. The dirt suction assembly cleans the entire surface of the filter screen through the combination of axial and rotational movements, completing the cleaning process in tens of seconds.

The drainage valve closes at the end of the cleaning process, and the increased water pressure causes the piston of the hydraulic cylinder to return to its initial position, preparing the filter for the next flushing cycle. During the cleaning process, the normal filtration operation of the filter is uninterrupted.

Working Principle of Automatic Backwashing System

Backwashing is achieved by opening the hydraulic valve and the movement of the hydraulic cylinder piston, all controlled by the backwashing controller. The backwashing controller accurately controls the hydraulic valve and hydraulic cylinder based on the pressure difference values transmitted from the inlet and outlet of the filter, and the power of the controller comes from the pressure of the pipeline itself.

Characteristics of Automatic Self-Cleaning Filters:

  1. Can operate and clean itself using water pressure without stopping filtration.
  2. PLC and PAC intelligent design, high degree of automation.
  3. Low pressure loss.
