Product Overview

The self-cleaning series can be applied to pipes ranging from DN25 to DN900. It offers continuous filtration, low maintenance, simple operation, and high flow rates, making it widely used across various industries.

The brush type self-cleaning filter can be equipped with wedge wire filter screens ranging from 5000um to 20um. The filter screen materials include 304, 316L, 2205, 2507, TA2, etc. The housing can be made of carbon steel, stainless steel, or lined with anti-corrosive materials, or other customized materials.
The brush type self-cleaning filter finds applications in industrial circulating water filtration, central air conditioning cooling water filtration, pretreatment of sewage biochemical treatment, pre-treatment of RO systems, papermaking white water filtration, metallurgical cooling water circulation filtration, agricultural irrigation, seawater desalination, rainwater collection, leachate filtration from garbage, and other fields.

Working Principle

When water to be filtered enters the filter cartridge through the inlet, impurities are intercepted inside the filter cartridge. Clean water flows out from the outlet. As the filtration time increases, impurities accumulate inside the filter cartridge. When the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the filter reaches a set value (adjustable), the filter automatically starts the cleaning process.
The entire cleaning process consists of two steps: opening the automatic drain valve on the filter and driving the cleaning brush inside the filter cartridge axially to clean the filter cartridge. The impurities are brushed off and flushed out through the filter drain.
The entire cleaning process is continuous and automatic. The operation of the entire self-cleaning filter is controlled by an intelligent control box that comes with the filter. Control methods include pressure difference, time, manual, and PLC control.

Features and Advantages

Continuous filtration: During cleaning, the drain valve is opened, and the drainage volume is 5% of the filtered water volume. The cleaning time is 15 to 60 seconds, and the inlet flows normally without interruption.

Wide filtration accuracy: Filtration accuracy can be selected between 5000um and 20um, ensuring thorough cleaning.

Large effective filtration area: The effective filtration area of the standard filter screen is more than 8 times the inlet area, resulting in low filtration pressure drop.
