TPA Scraping Self cleaning Filter

TPA series scraping self-cleaning filter (TPA for short) is the mechanical self-cleaning filter. Removing the impurities particles on the filter element outside by high efficient linear reciprocating mechanical scraping, it continuously filters on-line. TPX filter’s filtration ranges from 50-500 micron and is capable of filtrating water and liquids of viscosity up to 800000cps.

Scraping Self-cleaning Filter

The traditional filters often get blocked when filtering viscous liquids and soft impurities, which force the users to choose large filters or frequent backwash. That requires big amount of investment, heavy work and causes severe waste. TPA filter solve it easily by advanced self-cleaning. This filter is capable of keeping the keep the filter element clean regularly and discharging the waste liquid with high impurity concentration, thus reducing the waste. It is of more advantage and efficiency when filtering poor-quality water and viscous liquids like adhesive, resins, polymers, paintings and oils. By the outstanding technical advantages and low life cycle cost, the TPA filter is replacing in many fields the traditional manual filters like vibrating screens, bag filters, basket filters and some other backwash self-cleaning filters.

Working principles

Filtering: the liquid inflows from the inlet down to the outlet through the internal surface of the filter element; After the filter element captures the impurities, the cleaning action is trigger by the preset time or differential pressure value.

Cleaning: cylinder drives the scraping blade down slowly to scrap the impurities on the surface of the filter element and push them to the collection chamber, and then the scraping blade goes up slowly to clean the impurities further. These impurities fall down to the collection chamber together with the down flowing liquid. This move repeats several times till the filter element is clean.

Draining: when the impurities accumulated to some degree, the drain valve opens to discharge liquid with high concentration impurities, the purged liquid can be reclaimed if necessary.
