What is a Automatic Backwash Filter
I. Introduction
The automatic backwash filter enhances the functionality of the standard automatic backwash filter by incorporating additional components such as an electric actuator, differential pressure controller, electrical control box, and motorized discharge valve. The entire backwash process is performed without interrupting system operation, requiring no manual intervention or system downtime.
II. Working Principle
The fully automatic backwash filter consists of an internal stainless steel filter screen and transmission components. Cleaning and discharge are fully automated, executed by the electric actuator and motorized discharge valve. The device can operate in either automatic or manual mode and features dual functionality for differential pressure and timed automatic discharge.
When water flows through the filter, mechanical impurities in the water are intercepted by the filter screen. As debris accumulates on the filter surface, the pressure differential increases. Once the differential pressure reaches a set value, the controller sends a signal to activate the electric actuator and open the discharge valve. The collected debris is then expelled through the discharge port.
