How Does Automatic Backwash Filter Work
Automatic Backwash Filter features a compact structure, a small footprint, and ease of use, making it a fully automated, electromechanical filtration system. The system parameters are easy to adjust, and the cleaning results are visible.
It offers significant advantages such as effective filtration, long-term reliable operation, and water and energy savings, particularly in industries with challenging water conditions, such as steel, chemicals, power generation, heating, and central air conditioning.
Working Principle
The filter consists of a housing, stainless steel filter screen, drainage section, drive unit, and electrical control section. During operation, the water to be filtered enters through the inlet, flows through the filter screen, and then exits through the outlet to enter the process pipeline as required by the user. Particles in the water are trapped inside the filter screen.
As the cycle continues, more particles are trapped, slowing down the filtration speed, while more unfiltered water continues to enter, causing the filter pores to become smaller. This creates a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet.
When the differential pressure reaches the set value, the differential pressure transmitter sends an electrical signal to the controller. The controller activates the drive motor, which rotates the shaft through a transmission assembly, and the drainage port opens to discharge the trapped particles. Once the filter screen is cleaned, the pressure differential decreases to a minimum, and the system returns to its initial filtration state, resuming normal operation.
