4. Scraper-Type Self-Cleaning Filter
The scraper-type self-cleaning filter can be used for separating solid-liquid mixtures not only in low-viscosity fluids but also in high-viscosity fluids.
The self-cleaning filter consists of an inlet, outlet, electric motor, differential pressure switch, control piping, filter screen, stainless steel brush, solenoid switch, and drain switch.
Its main function is to remove small solid particles from liquids, ensuring the normal operation of equipment. When the fluid enters the filter housing with a specified filter screen, impurities are blocked, and the filtered liquid is discharged through the filter outlet.
Operating Process:
Filtration: The fluid to be filtered is forced into the inner cavity of the filter. The fluid passes through the filter element from the inside out, with impurities larger than the filter element's openings being trapped on the inner surface of the screen. The clarified fluid passes through the screen and is discharged from the outlet.
Self-Cleaning: A spring-loaded scraper moves up and down inside the filter element to remove the residues that accumulate on the inner surface of the screen.
During the downward movement of the scraper, any remaining residue is pushed into the sediment collection chamber, where it can be easily discharged.
During the upward movement of the scraper, the residue is removed from the surface of the filter screen.
