What are the Cleaning Methods Self Cleaning Filters II
2. Suction-Type Self-Cleaning Filter
Raw water enters the filter through the inlet and first passes through the coarse filter element, which removes larger particles of impurities. The water then reaches the fine filter screen, where smaller particles are filtered out, and the clean water is discharged through the outlet.
During the filtration process, impurities gradually accumulate on the inner layer of the fine filter screen, creating a pressure differential between the inner and outer sides.
When this pressure differential reaches a preset value, the filter initiates an automatic cleaning process: the drain valve opens, and the hydraulic motor chamber and hydraulic cylinder of the main assembly release pressure, discharging water. The pressure in the hydraulic motor chamber and suction pipe drops significantly. Due to the vacuum effect, impurities on the inner wall of the fine filter screen are suctioned through the nozzles, flowing into the hydraulic motor chamber and being expelled through the drain valve, forming a suction cleaning process.
As the water flows through the filter's hydraulic motor, it drives the suction pipe to rotate. At the same time, the piston in the hydraulic cylinder drives the suction pipe to move axially. The combination of axial and rotational movements of the suction cleaning assembly thoroughly cleans the entire inner surface of the filter screen.
The entire cleaning process lasts only a few seconds.
When the cleaning process is complete, the drain valve closes, and the increased water pressure causes the hydraulic cylinder piston to return to its initial position. The filter then prepares for the next cleaning cycle.
During the cleaning process, the filter continues to operate normally without interruption.
