Self Cleaning Filter Operating Principle
Water enters through the inlet and passes through the coarse Self Cleaning Filter screen to remove larger particles of impurities, then reaches the fine filter screen. During the filtration process, the fine filter screen gradually accumulates dirt and impurities from the water, forming a layer of filtered impurities. As the impurity layer accumulates on the inner side of the fine filter screen, a pressure difference is formed between the inner and outer sides of the fine filter screen.
When the pressure difference of the filter reaches the preset value, the automatic cleaning process begins. During this time, the supply of clean water continues to flow, the cleaning valve opens, and the water pressure inside the cleaning chamber and suction nozzle decreases significantly. Due to the pressure difference between the filter element and the suction pipe, suction is generated between the suction pipe and the cleaning chamber, initiating a suction process.
Meanwhile, the electric motor drives the suction pipe to spiral axially. The combined axial and rotational movement of the suction device ensures thorough cleaning of the entire inner surface of the filter screen. The entire flushing process takes only a few seconds. The drain valve closes at the end of cleaning, and the filter begins to prepare for the next flushing cycle.
The pressure difference switch monitors changes in the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet ports. When the pressure difference reaches the set value, the controller sends signals to the hydraulic control valve and the drive motor, initiating the following actions:
The motor drives the brush to rotate, cleaning the filter element, while the control valve opens for drainage. When the cleaning is complete, the control valve closes, the motor stops rotating, and the system returns to its initial state, ready for the next filtration process.
After installation, the equipment is calibrated and set by technical personnel for filtration and cleaning transition times. The filter begins normal operation, entering the next filtration process when the preset cleaning time is reached.
The fully automatic stainless steel self-cleaning filter consists of main components such as the motor, control box, control pipeline (including control valve and pressure transmitter), main pipe assembly, filter element assembly, stainless steel brush, frame assembly, transmission shaft, inlet and outlet connection flanges, etc.
The control box and control pipeline form the control part of the filter, responsible for realizing the automatic cleaning and drainage process.
