How does a self cleaning water filter work

Automatic self-cleaning filter could remove particles and debris from the water without any manual intervention or filter media replacement.

Self-cleaning Filter

The medium to be cleaned is guided into the filter by the inlet, and passes through the element gap from inside to outside. After filtering, the filtered fluid enters the filter housing from the bottom. Dirt particles are collected on the screen as the water passes through the filter, which will cause water pressure to drop.

After running for a period of time, the gap between the wire elements is blocked by impurities, and the pressure difference reaches the preset value at the same time. Then the controller inspects the signal and sends instructions to the geared motor.

The gear motor drives the scraper to skim the particles or agglomerates from the surface, thus maintaining the good function of the components and keeping the component gaps clean.

Thanks to the set position and optimum scraping angle, the rotating scraper with the help of a gear motor drives impurities out of the filter. This avoids the burden of dismantling the elements and washing to successfully filter the medium. The scraper system contains agitator, mechanical seal and control panel, designed for self-cleaning, especially reasonable spring pressure to minimize wear of components.

It has played a very important role in a wide range of fields. For water purification purposes, it can be used for water filtration, water treatment and water transformation in various industries such as industrial, agriculture, food, printing and dyeing, paper-making, etc.
