Traditional scraper-type self-cleaning filters rely entirely on gravity to drop intercepted solids, which only works for low-viscosity, low-solid and non-sticky liquids.
For water-based paint with viscosity up to 13,200 mPa·s, sticky intercepted pigments cannot fall off naturally. Solids continuously accumulate inside the filter housing, leading to rising differential pressure, increased motor torque, reduced cleaning efficiency, motor overload failure and frequent production shutdowns.
