Self-cleaning filter, also known as a self-cleaning filtration system or self-cleaning filter, is an efficient filtration device used to remove particles and impurities from liquids. Its working principle is based on the periodic automatic cleaning of the filter elements to maintain filtration performance.

Working principle of the self-cleaning filter:

Filtration stage: Liquid enters the filtration chamber of the self-cleaning filter from the inlet. The filter elements are typically microporous filter screens, filter bags, or other filter materials that capture particles and solid impurities in the liquid.
Filtration: The liquid passes through the filter elements, leaving behind particles and impurities, providing a relatively clean product flow.
Accumulation of debris: Over time, the filter elements accumulate more and more particles, leading to a decrease in filtration performance.
Automatic cleaning: When the particles on the filter elements accumulate to a certain level or reach a preset differential pressure threshold, the self-cleaning filter triggers an automatic cleaning program.

The cleaning process typically includes the following steps:

Stop liquid inflow into the filter, reverse liquid flow, also known as "backwashing," with clean liquid or gas flowing backward through the filter elements. Particles and dirt are flushed out and discharged from the filter.
Discharge of cleaning liquid: The cleaning liquid and discharged particles are collected and processed to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Restore filtration: After the cleaning process, the liquid resumes flowing through the filter elements. The filter regains its original filtration performance, ready to continue working.

Self-cleaning filters can continuously and efficiently filter liquids without the need for downtime for manual cleaning of filter elements. This automatic cleaning mechanism makes them well-suited for industrial applications that require long-term continuous operation, such as water treatment, food and beverage production, mining, chemical, and other fields.
